Microsoft Tech-Ed 2004
I took part in Microsoft Tech-Ed 2004 lunching at International Emperor Hotel in this morning for half day. It is a excellent event for developers, architects and information workers. Lots of wonderful technical sessions will be presented in next 3 days, covered development, system security, application deployment, project management and so on. As I knew the ticket is hard-won and entrance checking is very strictly this year, even I had to show my badge for coming in meeting place.
This time the well-known C++ master - Stan Lippman was invited to present a session in MS Tech-Ed 2004 as most important trainer. He has highest reputation in C++ field. Most of C++ programmer include me must read his famous composing “C++ Primer”. The genius is working at Microsoft Visual C++ .NET team now. What a pity I missed his session in this morning due to damn traffic jam, but I was lucky for taking a photo with the master at trainer restroom in the noon. It is my honor and so cool. We have a short conversation about photography but not C++ because I don’t know what to say about it. He likes photography and has a canon digital camera and a 28-135mm lens at least. So funny. By the way Stan is a polite man, he took off his glasses when he saw the flash on camera. Anyway he is respectable master.
