Over 140,000 including me watched the most luxurious and fastest sport around world - F1 GP in yesterday afternoon at Shanghai breathtaking circuit. Respectable audiences nod off at stand even if they were in the incredible tremendous noise of the 20 frantic motorcar engines. I think that at least above half of audiences are not F1 fans, hereby they can’t taste the delight brought by the hurtling gas-monsters as real F1 fans experienced.
In my stand - F area people hurrahed Michael Schumacher once he raced through in beginning 5 loops but hurrah was less and less along with game going, because they can not distinguish him from the 2 red Ferrari cars.
Shanghai government and F1 teams liberally spent numerous money on the event. When will they get return and what is the return by 2.6 billion Chinese dollars? Real benefit or potential harm of China automotor industry? Since first time to have the maiden F1 event, Shanghai government was not prepared very well.
In my opinion audiences evacuatting was inorganized even if game owner requisitioned over 3000 buses as shuttles.return between 4 points in downtown and circuit. As I would take Line 3 shuttle for going back Hong-kou stadium, but getting-off point is far away from setting-out point and there was no visible guide. I had to walked hardly in disordered and congested streams for long time and long way to get to shuttle setting-out point by myself. SH GOV must improve big event organizing capability to cope with much more coming big events like EXPO 2010.
I brought two lens (Nikon 70-300mm ED & 24-120mm VR) and Nikon D70 to capture live photos. Those monsters were racing toooooo fast as far as I took lots of “blank” photo - circuit without car in the photo even though I used high-speed sequential shooting - 3 photos per second. Anyway I luckily captured at least one photo of each F1 team car.
