West Nanjing Road

Nanjing road is well knew as one symbol of Shanghai city. Tonight conveniently I captured some scenes on West Nanjing Road when I was there waiting for a friend. The West Gate Mall is a famous top grade shopping mall on the road.

I felt unhappy because too many JAPAN product ads were in and around there. A brand new NISSAN car (TENLA) and a huge ASAHI beer can model were placed out of the gate. In the mall a joint exhibition was conducted by several Japan enterprises as JAL (Japan Air Line) & Panasonic … It looked like a Japanese block and brought aversion to me. Since China will open more and more markets for foreign enterprise by WTO soon, as Chinese we must think of and do somthing for positive national industries protection and economy strategy. Especially Japan is a realistic enemy in strategic.

Even now I took patience browseing a small photography exhibition sponsored by Olympus - A Day In The Life Of Africa (an international photojournalism project with profits going to AIDS education, resulting in a book, website …). Art is common language between ppl and nations, so I would like to appreciate it even it was sponsored by Japanese enterprise.
