Feb 12, 2005, in China traditional calendar, it is ‘Fan 4, 2005′. People light up fireworks at this night to pray to richness god
for future fortune.
I drived to my friend’s villa at Xin Zhuang to light up fireworks. Countless colorful fireworks appeared in the air everywhere when the time got near 12:00 PM. Obviously the night is very important for Chinese, because everybody wants fortune and they can’t miss the time point to pray for more. I also made a vow to god before light the first ‘BOMB’.
After we buring off the first, it started raininig. Firework displays are hard to capture. I used full-manual model and tried many times to get a appropriate exposure factors group.
Tips:
1 Long exposure time with small aperture, otherwise overexposure often happen.
2 Be careful with the fallen embers.
