Dec 23, 2004 Sunny. I rided my friend to ZHU JIA JIAO ancient town in Qingpu county. It is a one of the well-known watertowns of Shanghai province. Since its’ history is more than hundreds of years, lakes and creeks interweave in the town, so I can’t miss capturing great views of the scenic spot.
Most architectures were built during Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, with stone bridges ramaining ancient style. It’s a very special inimitable view.
In old age ZHU JIA JIAO was a important port and attacted a great deal of businessmen. Today local people open lots of shops , restaurant and tea room in the town. Lots of Travellers come here for short time tour everyday. So the place seems to be same flourishing as hundreds years ago.

I have visited Hangzhou for too many times so as to pall of life here. In order to keep good mood and work here freshness, I need to search some fangles here.
After searching in a local website, I selected a seafood Da Pai Dang(namely: non-decorated & no-frills hawker stall) as the first stop. Lots of small restaurants on the food street. The praiseful Da Pai Dang name is XIAO CHU SHI (means Little Cook), located at cross of Bai Jin Fang lane and north Zhong Shan road. It is NING BO taste.

There are about 6 tables inside and 5 tables out of shop. All material were put in containers on the frond stairs. After 30 mins waiting I order 3 dishes - a whole crab, 2 scallops & yellow-fin tuna. Since it is a Da Pai Dang, fast and good serving are not expected. 30 mins later I just tasted my first dish, other 2 dishes were put on my table 10 mins later. They were both with very good taste. I clear off them in 10 mins, haha… total charge is 70 RMB, so cheap, isn’t it?
The only thing I worried is food sanitation issue. Da Pai Dang is the business with a small capital. Operators’ attentions are revenue and margin instead of food sanitation, so non-storefront Da Pai Dang once clamped down by goverment. But no much different between non-storefront and storefront. After glutting I observed uncleaned containers, buckets and bowls in front stairs of shop. Now I have to pray my bowels would be fine tomorrow.

Today is 10.6. The National Day holidays approachs end. I reviewed some old pictures that were token during last N’Day holidays.
In last N’Day holidays I was in tough trip at Qizang valley, SiChuang province. It is a quite wonderful place near famous Jiu Zai valley. Weather and travel conditions were very bad. People must get enough material and spirit readiness if he want to be there.
In total 4 daytimes and 5 nighttimes, we met rainstorm, heavy snow, hail and cold gale. Highest arrived altitude was 4850M. I am in proud of have being there till today. It is a really big challenge for normal city people.
No pain no gain, in last morning we met good weather for only 3 hrs. Most of photos were took during the short time. The pure lake, colorful wood and quite clear air are impressive.
I used Nikon F80, F90X captured the following photos. Film was Fuji Velvia 50 RVP 135-36 professional color reversal film. Lens were Tmron 24-135mm/F3/5-5.6, Nikon 50mm/F1.4 and Nikon 80-200mm/F2.8

High maintain. Fog and cloud shut it out of my sight after 5 mins. I never saw it clearly after the second.
